Teacher of Psychology or Sociology (maternity cover)

King Edward VI College, Stourbridge is a sixth form college and a member of the Heart of Mercia Trust. The college specialises in the delivery of A levels for 16- to 19-year-olds, offering a broad curriculum with extensive enrichment opportunities. The college is a vibrant, inclusive community with over 2000 students from a variety of cultural and social backgrounds, all united in their enthusiasm for learning.

We seek a Teacher of Psychology or Sociology to work between 0.5 FTE to 1.0 FTE. This is a maternity leave cover with flexibility as to when the role starts. 

Working as part of our energetic, collaborative psychology or sociology team, the post holder will play a key role in inspiring students to engage with the subject material and to participate actively in lessons. As a committed and dedicated teacher, the post holder will contribute to this subject area, ensuring students benefit from a high-quality learning experience.

The College is fully committed to supporting all members of staff through staff development and in-service training.

This is a temporary post, subject to the conditions of service handbook of the Sixth Form Colleges Association. Salary will be paid on the Sixth Form Colleges Association teacher staff pay scale, NSP 1 – 9 (£25,826 - £42,149), depending on experience.
