Due to continued growth we are now seeking a Teacher of Psychology with Health & Social Care to join our team asap. This post would suit a teacher at any stage of their career and offers an exciting opportunity for ambitious and hardworking professionals to launch or develop their career with outstanding professional support within a dynamic team of staff. The successful candidate must be able to teach at KS4 and KS5.

The Department

Joining the Psychology and Health and Social Care team within the Science department at Sandwell Academy will provide an exciting challenge, and an opportunity to inspire and engage young people in their education. All teaching venues at Sandwell Academy have interactive whiteboards. We have two programmable baby dolls within the department and we seek to use educational visits and speakers to enthuse students in their Health and Social care studies. Students enjoy learning how local care settings function, such as nurseries and old people’s homes. They also study legislation and health and safety regulations. Psychology is offered at A-level and is always a very popular choice with students, with two classes currently at AS. Students study AQA Psychology and have two sessions a week of two hours 40 minutes duration.
