Itchen Sixth Form College requires a permanent full-time or substantial part-time teacher with a real passion for their subject, to join our dynamic Uniformed Public Services, Law & Criminology Faculty.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing faculty with excellent curriculum provision, supporting students to achieve well and progress onto ambitious destinations. All of our students are highly motivated and work within a disciplined learning environment, which prepares them for a career within the Emergency or Military Services.
The role requires someone who has good communication, organisational and motivational skills, who is patient, empathetic and engaging and has the ability to inspire all students to reach their full potential. You will have an appropriate professional qualification or a degree, preferably with some teaching experience, or the willingness to complete a teaching qualification.
Furthermore, you must be able to show a clear commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning and if qualified, lead outdoor and/or residential activities for students on both level 2 and 3 courses.

About Itchen College
Itchen College is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational further education college in Hampshire, serving students from the age of 16-19. The college, situated in Southampton has approximately 1,558 learners on record.
Itchen College was founded in 1906 as a co-educational secondary school and later Itchen Grammar School. It welcomes learners from across the world, with 10% making up international students. Facilities on the campus include a sports centre, performing arts block – features Apple Mac suites, recording studios and soundproof music rooms, and a Student Centre for students to relax in during their study breaks.
