Job Description

What is the role?

Following confirmation of additional Scottish Government funding South Ayrshire Council has created a number of permanent teacher vacancies to support children and young people as we begin the 2021-22 school session. The post advertised will be part of a peripatetic team being created to assist the introduction and maintenance of mainstream Nurture provisions across the authority. The Nurture teacher will be expected to provide training, support and guidance to Primary, Secondary and Special schools to embed Nurture principles across the authority and build capacity. There is also an expectation that support will be provided to the Enhanced Nurture facilities for P2-P5 and P6 – S2 within South Ayrshire.

This post is available to primary and secondary qualified teachers and may involve working across sectors.

The Grade of this post is Teacher (Maingrade) and the annual salary is from £32,994 to £41,412.

This post is considered to be Regulated Work with children as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) (PVG) Act 2007.
