What we offer:

• RE is a popular and well regarded subject at Finham Park school. The department is extremely strong and achieves exceptional exam results above the national average. We follow the EDUQAS exam syllabus for GCSE RS and all students take an examination in RS at the end of Year 11. At KS5 we follow the OCR exam specification and this is a popular post 16 option. At KS3 the department delivers a thematic approach to the study of religion, based on the Coventry Agreed Syllabus. The department prides itself on delivering challenging and thought provoking lessons using a variety of learning techniques. We are fortunate to have a strong team of subject specialists and the department is well resourced. The department also offers a number of extra-curricular activities including a Philosophy Club, Amnesty International and trips to local places of worship as well as trips abroad.

• The department are seeking to appoint an innovative and highly motivated teacher to join an enthusiastic team where teachers are committed to delivering a high quality, lively and interesting curriculum to inspire all our students.  The successful candidate will be required to teach RE at Key Stage 3 and 4 and there may be an opportunity to teach A Level.

• Finham Park is a popular, successful and exciting secondary comprehensive school of over 1,500 students and is consistently oversubscribed. The school was rated as 'Outstanding' for the second time in 2015. Standards are consistently above national averages with us being a high performing school that received 'World Class' status for the second time in 2018.

• We provide a wealth of CPD opportunities for staff across a range of stages in their careers. The CPD responds to the needs of the school, the staff and the Multi Academy Trust through our Teaching School, The Lion Alliance.

Finham Park is a popular and successful 11 -18 comprehensive school situated in the south west of Coventry. It has an excellent reputation within the local community as well as nationally and internationally. The school was re-accredited as a World Class School in July 2018.
