Job overview
We are seeking to appoint, for September 2018, an enthusiastic, motivated and well-qualified teacher of RE to join the ambitious team of professionals in our school. Therefore, we are looking for a candidate who will be an excellent classroom practitioner with the ability to inspire enthusiasm in students. Candidates must be practising Catholics with the ability to make a positive contribution to developing resources to support the teaching of the Catholic programmes of study in all key stages. The successful candidate will have high expectations in terms of standards and will be able to contribute effectively to the future of RE in the school. This post would be suitable for an NQT or an experienced candidate looking for a new opportunity, including KS5 teaching.
The successful candidate will be expected to support the Catholic ethos of the school, specifically in being a form tutor. Blessed William Howard is a Catholic school embracing children of all faiths; not a school exclusively for children who are Catholic by faith.

Our school is a successful 11-18 Catholic High School with 839 on roll (110 in the Sixth Form). Blessed William Howard Catholic High School has been providing secondary education in the heart of Stafford for over 50 years.
We serve the Catholic community in a wide geographical area in the Archdiocese of Birmingham, stretching up to the village of Brewood on the edge of Wolverhampton, 13 miles to the south and up to the town of Stone, 8 miles to the north. Our admissions policy enables parents who want a faith education for their child to join our community.
Through the teachings of the Catholic Church and our vibrant liturgical life we open paths of discovery, helping children to understand themselves, others and how they may live fulfilled lives, making a positive difference through who and how they are. Our school offers a haven where all are welcome to flourish as individuals academically, socially, morally and spiritually.
