Job overview

SWB Academy is a vibrant, successful 11-19 Academy. We have world class facilities, highly professional staff and students who are keen to learn.  The post-holder will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic team who deliver outstanding provision through engaging lessons and exciting enrichment opportunities.

Due to our popularity with parents, making us the first choice Academy across the area, we are seeking to expand our team of staff as a result of increasing student numbers.  RE is currently being taught at both KS3 and KS4 with the vision of expanding the department and promoting SMSC across the Academy. We are looking to appoint an outstanding RE specialist to work with our Head of RE to develop this vision. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with a creative and forward thinking faculty on the journey to transforming the life chances of our students. Although this vacancy is specifically for an RE specialist, there is an expectation to teach other Humanities subjects (History/ Geography) and work with the Director of Humanities in delivering outstanding provision to our students.

You need to be determined to drive up standards, have a positive approach and be committed to making a difference.  In return you will get to work in an innovative and supportive Academy..
