We are looking for a highly motivated and innovative Religion and Philosophy teacher to join our dedicated Religion and Philosophy Team from September 2020.

Although the ideal candidate will have a proven track record of excellent teaching and learning, we also welcome applications from NQTs.

The Religion and Philosophy department is well established at Tunbridge Wells Grammar School for Boys. Staff have a wealth of experience and interests, which bring many dimensions to the provision of excellent lessons as well as skills and support for a new colleague! 

We deliver the new exciting Kent Agreed Syllabus at Key Stage 3, which proves to be a popular launch pad for strong progress. At KS4 we offer the full RE GCSE as an option along with the Short Course Philosophy Certificate.   In KS5 the Philosophy A level is very popular and well subscribed.

Staff benefit from a positive working environment, with strong support for professional development. Our core purpose is to create independent critical thinkers who take joy in relating the skills learned through the study of religion and philosophy to their own lives.

Tunbridge Wells Grammar School for Boys is a successful and popular selective 11-18 school in the heart of picturesque Tunbridge Wells. The town has easy access routes to/from London, the South Coast and Gatwick Airport. We are fortunate to have a well-regarded nursery across the road if you have pre-school aged children.
