St Edmund’s is a popular Voluntary Aided secondary school in the heart of Portsmouth and serves a wide area. It is an ‘Outstanding’ school (Ofsted 2016) serving a diverse population. The Governors welcome applications from a dynamic, innovative and successful teacher for Religious Education where RE is a core subject for all pupils up to GCSE. The successful candidate will have a sound understanding of Religious Education and will enjoy the support of an effective group of colleagues in a Good school striving to achieve the highest standards. The outstanding Department is led by an Assistant Headteacher and supported by a School Chaplain. The school is in the process of becoming a Teaching School as a result of its ‘outstanding’ practice.
