Allestree Woodlands School is an extremely successful, oversubscribed 11-18 school, providing high quality education for 1355 students (246 Post-16). The school is situated on the northern edge of Derby City overlooking ‘Green Belt’ areas.
The Religious Education curriculum area is part of the Humanities Faculty. The Faculty consists of Geography, History and Religious Education at Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, with Government and Politics, Psychology and Sociology being offered at Key Stage 5.
We are looking for a very talented, dynamic and ambitious full time or 0.8 fte teacher of Religious Education who is inspiring, innovative and able to consistently set high standards of teaching and learning. The successful applicant will join a very committed, collaborative, forward thinking and highly successful team housed within its own Humanities Area. The Humanities is hugely popular with the school’s students and as a result, any successful candidate may be asked to contribute to the teaching of another Humanities subject at Key Stage 3. In addition the school offers a very personal and professionally supportive environment.
