Middlesex Learning Partnership is a particularly successful Trust in West London. Our three academies occupy the very top positions in the Hillingdon League tables for outcomes. We are highly collaborative and committed to making a difference to the lives of young people. We have a strong sense of community where staff enjoy rewarding relationships with our conscientious and aspirational students.
At Barnhill our students have achieved academic outcomes in 2018 which place us well within the top 5% of the country with a progress 8 score of +0.66. We are moving rapidly towards our goal of becoming an Outstanding school and are looking for exceptional teachers to join our team.
We are looking to appoint an ambitious and enthusiastic Teacher of Religious Education to join and strengthen our friendly and successful Social Sciences team. Religious Education is taught as part of the Social Sciences team alongside Sociology, Psychology and Government and Politics. The ability to teach a second subject, Politics or Sociology is desirable.
Religious Education is taught in Key Stage 3 and 4 and we follow the Edexcel specification at both GCSE and A Level. Last year we achieved record results at GCSE with a progress score of +2.4. Many students go on to study Philosophy and Ethics at Key Stage 5 so experience of teaching A Level is welcomed.
Successful candidates will have:
o Enthusiasm and passion for teaching and developing young people
o An engaging and optimistic approach
o High expectations and a belief in the potential of young people to achieve.
In return we will offer you:
o Motivated, hard-working students
o High expectations of behaviour supported by established systems and protocols
o Bespoke, high quality professional development

o Accelerated career opportunities for aspirational and talented staff
o An extensive well-being package
o Established partnerships with: Teach First; Challenge Partners; PiXL; London West Alliance
o Opportunities to work across the Trust in different phases.
