This is a wonderful opportunity for a newly qualified or recently qualified RE Teacher, to join an outstanding school and become a valued member of our successful RE Department, at one of the top 20% performing schools in the country. In addition to excellent subject knowledge and qualifications, the successful candidate will be an exceptional classroom practitioner with the commitment and ability to engage and motivate all students to achieve their full potential. He/she will contribute to the delivery and development of Religious Education across the age and ability spectrum.
Whilst we are looking for a dedicated RE specialist, we are also further developing the Sociology, Psychology and Health & Social Care departments within school and therefore potential candidates with these additional academic capabilities would be of interest too.

St Mary’s Catholic High School is a mixed secondary academy in North Derbyshire. The school converted to a Catholic voluntary-aided academy in the summer of 2012. St Mary’s is located north of Chesterfield, with places for 1,300 students aged 11-18, of which 285 are in the sixth form. The school primarily serves North East Derbyshire, but some students travel from as far afield as Sheffield.
St Mary’s Catholic High School is supported by the Catholic dioceses of Hallam and Nottingham, with additional governors appointed to represent parents, staff and the local authority.
