We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, motivated and inspiring teacher of Religious Education to join our highly successful RE department from September 2017.

St. Alban's is a successful oversubscribed school. We strive to provide an excellent education for our students within a caring Christian community where all are respected, valued and supported to achieve their potential. You need to be willing to support the Catholic ethos of the school and be willing to develop an understanding of teaching Religious Education in a Catholic setting, however you do not need to be Catholic yourself.

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • a passion for excellence in the teaching of religious education
  • the ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve excellent results
  • excellent organisational and communication skills
  • the capacity to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • excellent interpersonal skills
  • the attributes to be a strong form tutor.

The post would suit an NQT or an experienced teacher looking for a new challenge.

About St Alban's Catholic High School

St Alban’s Catholic High School is a co-educational secondary school and sixth form with academy status located in Ipswich, Suffolk. It is the only Catholic High School in the Ipswich area and religious education forms part of the core curriculum. 

The School premises have been improved in recent years with the addition of a new sixth form block and library and the refurbishment of some existing facilities.
