Job overview

We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher of RE who can also teach a small number of humanities lessons.  There will be the opportunity to teach GCSE from September.  The post is suitable for newly qualified or experienced colleagues and is initially for a period of one year, subject to review. This is an excellent opportunity to join a thriving and successful faculty, which achieves excellent results at all key stages and has the potential to become an outstanding department.  

The Whitby High School is an 11-18 over-subscribed secondary school with 1500 on roll.  We can offer a very positive learning ethos, a comprehensive induction programme and first class professional development opportunities.
