RS is a highly valued subject at Kennet with the majority of pupils studying full course at GCSE. The results for this large cohort have remained consistently high and we are proud of the team’s achievements. The department also offers Philosophy at Sixth Form and some experience delivering this subject would be advantageous but not essential.
The school would provide excellent support to an NQT starting out in their career, or development opportunities for a more experienced colleague. We invest heavily in CPD, over 4 times the national average, and actively seek to develop our teachers through all stages in their careers.
Kennet is a highly oversubscribed and successful Academy: we were judged Outstanding by Ofsted in May 2016. Whilst our progress measures are impressive and we have accumulated a number of national awards, we are strong believers that ‘better never stops’.
