We are seeking an outstanding and passionate Religious Education teacher to join our successful team for September 2018. You will become a member of a large team who are creative, energetic and determined to give every pupil the best possible opportunity to benefit from an outstanding education. 

St Wilfrid’s is a successful 11-18 school with a strong Catholic ethos, set in a caring and inclusive community. In 2017, 72% of our students graded 4 or above in both English & Maths at GCSE, with the A Level average point score per entry being 32.43. In Religious Education, 69% of students achieved A*-C and at A Level 25% achieved A*-B.

Religious Education at St Wilfrid’s is an exciting and engaging subject and the RE Department plays an integral part in raising standards and student achievement. We require a well-qualified teacher (experienced or NQT) to take responsibility for Key Stage 3 RE, with a passion and enthusiasm for the subject to join our team of specialists to help us further raise standards while contributing to courses throughout the faculty in all key stages. Our teachers must be able to work collaboratively and supportively and have high expectations of all learners.

We are ideally situated in a semi-rural location, close to the thriving cities of Leeds and York, and just a short drive from some of the country’s most beautiful locations. Many of our pupils choose to travel from all over Yorkshire to join our caring community.
