Temporary Teacher of Religious Studies
Wakefield Girls’ High School is looking for an enthusiastic, inspiring and qualified Teacher of Religious Studies from January 2020 until early July 2020.
We are seeking an outstanding Teacher of Religious Studies to join a strong department. You will be highly qualified, enthusiastic, innovative, and highly committed: an able communicator, with a positive, encouraging, and collaborative style that can enrich the work of this successful department.
You will be involved in the teaching of Religious Studies throughout the school as well as contribute to a stimulating, tolerant, and supportive environment that can engender the highest levels of achievement. There is also substantial scope for involvement in related enrichment programmes.
Wakefield Girls’ High School teachers have a strong sense of community and enthusiasm and in which involvement, pastorally, and in the extensive broader curriculum, is the norm.
Applicants should have considerable experience of teaching Religious Studies at Key Stage 3 and GCSE; A level would be preferable and will be an advantage. A willingness to help with extra-curricular activities is desirable.
The position is full time and temporary. Salary is MPS/UPS. The Teachers’ Pension Scheme is also applicable. As part of our commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, the successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Check.
