 Hamilton Grammar School is a co-educational, non-denominational secondary in South Lanarkshire, Scotland. As of the most recent inspection there were 1,139 students on the school roll. The town of Hamilton has a population of 53,000, and is located 12 miles southeast of Glasgow. Hamilton Grammar School are the proud holders of 5 Green Flag Awards. These prestigious flags recognise targets met by the school to achieve increased sustainability in our environment. Affiliated primary schools to Hamilton Grammar are Beckford Primary, Chatelherault Primary, Quarter Primary, St. John's Primary (Hamilton), and Woodside Primary. The school’s predecessors dates back to the 13th century, and the school has been fully comprehensive since the early 1970s.

Pupils at Hamilton Grammar are fortunate in the wide array of extra-curricular activities on offer at the school. This ranges from sports such as football and netball, to creative pursuits and hobbies such as Comic Book Club, Drama Club, and Senior Choir.

Their ideas and suggestions are valued and they take part in lively discussions in many subjects. Most young people respond positively to high levels of challenge and pace of learning. Young people have good opportunities to take responsibility, learn from each other and develop leadership and independent learning skills.”
