Required from November 2019, a well-qualified full time maternity cover Teacher of RS. The RS Department is housed in dedicated classrooms in the Humanities Faculty. Darrick Wood is an oversubscribed and successful 11-18 ten form entry mixed comprehensive, housed in modern buildings on an attractive site in a pleasant catchment area. The School consistently achieves excellent results, was judged to be ‘good ‘in all areas in its OFSTED inspection in January 2019, and is a designated Teaching School. The School was awarded the World Class Schools Quality Mark in 2015 and again in 2018. The School provides excellent opportunities for career development and a full support programme for all new staff.

About Darrick Wood School
Darrick Wood School is a mainstream, co-educational, non-denominational secondary academy for 1700 children aged 11-18. It is situated in Orpington, Kent. In its most recent inspection by Ofsted (January 2019) the School was judged as “Good” in all areas.
The school was founded in 1975. In June 2004, it was awarded specialist status in technology. In 2010, Darrick Wood converted to academy status and a new Sixth-Form building was completed.
In 2015, the secondary school was awarded the World Class Schools quality mark.
