Job overview

Teacher of Science 0.6

Contract: Full Time/Permanent

Start Date: September 2023

MPS/UPS

A once in a career opportunity to work in a new, state of the art £34 million school.

In September 2019, our first cohort of 180 Year 7 students were welcomed to our school family, now in Year 10, we look forward to our first set of GCSE results in the summer of 2024. Our plans for 6th form are well underway.

This is a genuinely unique opportunity to take on a role at the first ‘all through’ school in Essex, judged Outstanding by Ofsted in January 2023.

The Beaulieu Park School is incredibly popular with families, oversubscribed with families nominating us as their first-choice school every year.

We are looking to appoint a part-time Science teacher (3 days per week) to join our ‘outstanding’ team. This position is key to continue the exceptional Science provision our new school has so far enjoyed. You will contribute to the very strong culture, identity and ethos here that has been nurtured here.

The successful candidate will be a strong practitioner, perhaps new to the profession, or an experienced colleague looking for a new challenge. They will believe in the potential of all children, whatever their background or ability. They will be reflective, excited by taking risks and accepting that failure is a part of the learning process. They will promote lifelong learning through their constant drive to improve their own practice, as well as supporting those they lead and work alongside to develop their skills.

At Beaulieu, our expectations of behaviour, attitude to learning and manners are extremely high. We can promise the successful candidate an environment in which they will be free to teach and develop as a practitioner.

Specific responsibilities are outlined in the Job Description.

The closing date is Midday Monday 17th April 2023. Interviews will be held w/c 24th April 2023.

If this vacancy attracts sufficient interest before the closing date, we reserve the right to close and interview this vacancy at an earlier date so an early application is advised.
