Job overview

Small Heath School is a well-regarded, popular school at the heart of its community. We have been judged to be outstanding by OFSTED on five consecutive occasions; however we were deemed to be inadequate in January 2015 and placed in special measures. Since then an Interim Executive Board of highly skilled and talented members together with the Headteacher, Tony Wilson have taken decisive action to move the school forward.

We are looking to appoint a well-qualified, enthusiastic and inspirational teacher with a real passion and desire for Science.

This is an ideal and exciting opportunity for teachers, who have the drive, energy and enthusiasm to work with our existing team to further build on the progress already made.

We can offer a committed and hardworking team, well behaved students and continued CPD development. If you have an absolute commitment to teamwork, sharing ideas, improving standards and have the ability to transform vision into reality, then we would welcome your application.

We will be holding a recruitment open day on Monday 19th September from 9am to 10am and 3:30pm to 4:30pm. This is a great opportunity to meet staff and pupils and learn more about careers at Small Heath School. Please contact Paul Hunt on 0121 236 4476 to book an appointment.
