This is an exciting opportunity to join our outstanding, forward thinking, dynamic, successful and oversubscribed school. We base our work on a strong Christian ethos, value the contribution made by all and deliver high quality learning experiences within a caring environment.

At St James’s, we are all learners and constantly aim high in all that we do. We also have an exceptional record in teacher training via School Direct. Our school has been judged as outstanding in December 2011.

We are looking to appoint a well-qualified, highly motivated and enthusiastic teacher to join our team of experienced, enthusiastic staff. The department is forward thinking and dynamic. The ideal candidate would demonstrate the capacity to deliver outstanding lessons to our young people, whilst sharing good practice with others. This is an exciting opportunity to join a department that has a passion for improvements in teaching and learning.

We offer all staff an excellent weekly CPD programme to encourage our staff to be the best they can be and there are great opportunities for further development through Teaching School.

New staff receive a bespoke induction package to fully support their integration into St. James's. For all NQT’s there will be a timetabled programme of support, a mentoring package and access to a range of CPD opportunities to ensure a smooth transition into their teaching career.

In the science department NQT’s are well supported with a dedicated programme for development within science.
