United Learning

Glenmoor and Winton Academies is part of United Learning, a large, and growing, group of schools aiming to offer a life changing education to children and young people across England.

Our schools work as a team and achieve more by sharing than any single school could. Our subject specialists, our Group-wide intranet, our own curriculum and our online learning portal all help us share knowledge and resource, helping to simplify work processes and manage workloads for an improved work-life balance.

As a Group, we can reward our staff better: with good career opportunities, better pay, benefits, and ultimately, the satisfaction of helping children to succeed. We invest in our staff wellbeing. Our academies each have at least eight INSET days per year (with three of those solely dedicated to planning), and an ongoing group-wide wellbeing programme. It's an ethos we call ‘the best in everyone’.

About the role:

The Academies are looking to appoint an outstanding Teacher of Science who is an excellent classroom practitioner with a passionate belief in the ability for all to succeed.

The successful candidate will be expected to deliver Science at KS3 and KS4. We are looking for a conscientious, dedicated team-player who has excellent subject knowledge and a passion for Science with the ability to enthuse students.

Applications are welcome from teachers at all stages in their professional teaching career.

Glenmoor and Winton Academies are two outstanding Academies and the highest performing non selective schools in Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch and would welcome any potential applicant visiting the Academies and meeting the Principal prior to submitting an application. Please email dcripps@glenmoorandwinton.org.uk if you would like to take up this opportunity.

Winton Academy was inspected by Ofsted in December 2018 and was graded outstanding in all areas. Glenmoor was inspected in June 2019 and was also graded outstanding in all areas. ‘The quality of teaching is consistently high across all subjects and for all groups of pupils’. (Ofsted 2019).
