Job overview
We are looking for a well-qualified, enthusiastic and conscientious teacher of Science. The successful candidate will be aspirational, showing a commitment to raising achievement through outstanding teaching and learning.
The successful candidates will :
- have successful experience of teaching science at KS3 and KS4
- have successful experience of teaching a range of abilities
- have successful experience of teaching in a comprehensive school with a significant number of disadvantaged students
- be vibrant with high expectations of themselves and students
- be passionate about learning
- be caring and patient
- be able to work as part of a team
- be ambitious for their own professional and career development
- be able to motivate and enthuse students through a commitment to equal opportunities, regardless of background, Special Educational Needs or prior attainment

Buttershaw Business & Enterprise College is an improving school. We are an ambitious, community-focused academy of just over 1400 students serving an area of social deprivation on the southern edge of Bradford and seven miles from Leeds.
