The Role:

The successful applicant will be an outstanding teacher with the energy, commitment, communication ability, experience and vision to deliver high quality Science (Biology and Chemistry preferred) teaching across the age range, as well as Maths as need at Key Stage 3 and GCSE (Year 10). In addition to promoting the subject within the School, the successful candidate will need to be calm under pressure, well-organised, efficient and able to work effectively and harmoniously with staff, students and parents.

The post holder will, in the course of their work, liaise with all science teachers about the students they are teaching and be available to discuss concerns and achievements and liaise with parents regarding progress of students. They would also be expected to play a key role in working with the Heads of Science as needed to develop schemes of work and resources, as well as making a significant contribution to the vibrant extracurricular life of a dynamic faculty.

The successful applicant must be able to teach Science across the age range and applicants with a Chemistry / Biology background are preferred. A willingness and ability to teach some Maths (at Key Stage 3 and GCSE) and Computing (only at Key Stage 3) would also be advantageous.

Timetable:

Deadline for application: 9am on Monday 10 May 2021.

Interviews will take place week commencing Monday 17 May 2021 but may take place as soon as possible by arrangement.
