Finham Park School is the Lead School in the recently established Finham Park Multi Academy Trust. Primary and secondary schools in Finham Park MAT will set out to pioneer, innovate and deliver a “World Class” education for all.

Finham Park School was judged as ‘Outstanding’ in all areas by Ofsted in 2015, for the second time. It is a Specialist College in Mathematics & Computing, a National Support School, and Leading Edge School. It is highly over-subscribed with a growing Sixth Form of over 300 students. We have recently been accredited to the World Class Schools Organisation – endorsing that Finham Park is a place where all our students develop a love of “learning for life”.

We have a large and successful Science Faculty where 15 teachers are committed to developing active learning strategies to challenge and inspire all students. The Faculty is well resourced with recently refurbished laboratories and extensive resources. It has strong links both internally with other STEM subjects within the school and externally such as our link with our partner school in the USA. Science is extremely popular GCSE, Advance and Vocational Levels. Further information is available via the link on our website – www.finhampark.co.uk,

The Governors are seeking to appoint a highly motivated teacher of Science with an ambitious vision for the subject. There is an expectation that you will teach across two areas from Physics, Chemistry and Biology to GCSE and there maybe an opportunity to teach your specialism to Advanced Level.

For NQT’s there is a possibility for you to start in July 2016.

Finham Park is a popular and successful 11 -18 comprehensive school situated in the south west of Coventry. It has an excellent reputation within the local community as well as nationally and internationally. The school was re-accredited as a World Class School in July 2018.

Ofsted described the school as a place where there is a strong culture of learning and a proven track record of academic success, with students consistently making above average levels of progress in their studies in both Key Stages 4 and 5. The behaviour of the students is Outstanding.

Their eagerness for learning allows our teachers to deliver stimulating and innovative lessons that result in rapid progress. There is a clear focus on the development of teaching and learning through engagement in national research programmes with a strong structure of support at all levels. In addition, there is personalised programme of professional development and extensive opportunities for career progression.

The school is well resourced. New technologies are widely available and are helping to transform teaching and learning across a diverse range of subjects. In addition, ongoing investment has been made to the whole site - recently by upgrading science laboratories, STEM workrooms and the construction of a sixth form centre.
