On behalf of the Academy Committee, we are seeking an inspirational Teacher of Science to join our school and Science department at Cardinal Wiseman Catholic School within The Romero Catholic Academy. This is an exciting time to be part of a growing team as we strive for academic excellence for all students in our care.
The Teacher of Science position is an ideal opportunity for an NQT or an experienced teacher seeking a new challenge. The ability to also teach KS5 would be desirable but not essential.
Science is studied from Key Stage 3 to 5 at Cardinal Wiseman Catholic School. At Key Stage 3, students study an engaging curriculum designed to cover a range of science topics and to gain an understanding and appreciation of the scientific method. Students either then take Combined Science or Triple Science at GCSE and we follow the AQA specification. A-Levels in all three sciences are also offered, with the opportunity to teach A-Level science for a suitably qualified candidate.
Cardinal Wiseman is an 11-18 school in the north-east of Coventry which is on a journey of improvement. The school’s A-Level results were the best in the city in 2016. These posts are instrumental in driving improvement in the school to enable even more students to achieve their full potential. If you are a passionate and motivated teacher who is focused on helping students develop a deep subject knowledge in order to achieve their true potential, we would welcome your application.
