The de Ferrers Trust is a Multi Academy Trust comprising three Secondary Academies and four Primary Academies, currently based in Staffordshire and Derbyshire.

About Us

This is a great opportunity to join an over-subscribed and aspirational academy. The Pingle Academy, part of The de Ferrers Trust, lies at the heart of the National Forest area and provides for students in Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. The culture at The Pingle Academy ensures an aspirational, ambitious and creative place to learn and work. Our aim is to work with parents, carers and families to prepare children for their adult lives in a rapidly changing world. About You

To be successful, you will be highly qualified and be able to support in the promotion of excellent standards of student learning, achievement, progress, attainment and behaviour through working effectively and collaboratively. You will be passionate about your subject, with a specialism in Physics preferred, but also a knowledge of teaching some Biology, you will furthermore seek to positively impact your field and Academy.

The Pingle Academy is an 11-19 co-educational, comprehensive school, became an academy in May 2017 and joined The de Ferrers Trust. Our over subscribed academy is the academy of choice in the local area and enjoys an excellent local reputation.

Our academy is a community where there is a shared responsibility for creating a safe and pleasant place to work. Staff are dedicated in ensuring that The Pingle Academy is inclusive in all areas and we are proud of our efforts to educate and care for all our students, whatever their abilities to ensure that every students’ potential is fulfilled.

In 2019, the academy enjoyed its best ever results, both at GCSE and A Level. In October 2021 OFSTED judged the academy as GOOD in all areas.
