A third of departing students in the sixth form secured places at Russell Group universities. A-level results in the subsequent three years - 2016, 2017 and 2018 have maintained these excellent standards. Last year the College achieved a Progress (value added) score of +0.5 and an average grade of B-. Progress scores over the last five years have been consistently in high positive territory.
Class sizes are small, with 5-12 students in a group.
Full-time staff are expected to enter into the full life of the College. The successful candidate might also be responsible for a form group. Classes run from 8:50am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday. Staff are expected to be in College for 38 hours a week, of which 25 hours are contact time/teaching time. Most classes are 80 minutes in duration to allow for practical sessions.
The College offers an attractive salary package which includes an attractive pension scheme.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic and well qualified teacher, and the post would suit either an experienced teacher or an NQT.
Early applications are welcome and outstanding candidates may be invited for interview before the closing date.
