Job overview

Are you an inspiring teacher looking for a position in a consistently high-performing ‘Outstanding’ school?

We are seeking an innovative, dynamic and passionate teacher to join our highly skilled Science Faculty as Teacher of Science. You will have a confident understanding of the curriculum and the ability to create new and exciting resources that challenge and inspire our students.

Science is an integral part of the curriculum at Glyn and is taught across KS3, KS4 and KS5. Each class at KS3 is taught Biology, Chemistry and Physics and periodic set changes occur based on regular assessment. Triple and Combined Science is offered at KS4. Science is a popular subject choice at KS5, with an average of three A Level classes for all branches of Science - Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Our highly engaged and hardworking students achieve excellent examination results, as demonstrated by results of 99% A*-A in GCSE Triple Science. In 2017, as a school, we had record A Level results; Physics, Chemistry and Biology A*-A outcomes were in line with overall school results.

We are interested in hearing from all candidates, no matter what point in your career you are currently at and welcome flexible working arrangements. Ability to teach A-level in at least one of the Sciences will be advantageous.

Glyn School is ideally situated just ten minutes’ walk from both Ewell East and Ewell West stations, both of which are approximately 20 minutes from Clapham Junction and within Zone 6.

Why should you teach at Glyn:

We offer our teachers unprecedented support to hone their craft. Staff well-being is a priority at Glyn and our middle and senior leaders ensure that our teachers have the opportunities to learn and grow in their chosen career development path.
