Details
We seek a committed and enthusiastic teacher to join our excellently resourced Science department to provide temporary cover in the absence of the substantive post holder whilst on maternity leave. This position will continue until such time that the post holder returns or resigns their position before or upon completion of the period of Maternity Leave, at which time it will automatically expire unless otherwise previously agreed.
Principal Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Head of Science
· To teach Science across the ability range in line with departmental scheme of work and policies
· To participate in the development of appropriate syllabuses, materials and schemes of work.
Additional Specific Responsibilities
· To be Form Tutor of an assigned form and to carry out related duties in accordance with the general job description of Form Tutor.
General Duties
· To carry out a share of supervisory duties in accordance with published rosters.
· To participate in appropriate meetings with colleagues and parents relative to the above duties.
