The Science Department at The Hurst is a highly cohesive team of eight committed professionals who aim to empower pupils and enrich their lives through the study of biology, chemistry and physics.
August 2018 saw another year of improving outcomes in Science. There were record results across the triple sciences; Biology 7+ was 77%, Physics 7+ was 87% and Chemistry 7+ was 71%. Combined Science results at 4+ were 76%, and for the whole cohort 79% of pupils achieved grades 4+, ensuring that progress overall was extremely positive.
