Teacher of Science
We have an exciting opportunity for a Teacher to join our Science Department in April/September 2020. We are seeking an individual who is enthusiastic and passionate about teaching Science. Who will inspire and engage our students, someone who enjoys working with young people, who believes it is a privilege to be a part of their journey into adulthood, and who understands the challenges faced by young people growing up in today's world.
This is an exciting time to join Spen Valley High School as we build upon our many strengths and develop a truly coherent provision for our students. You will work alongside a team of highly professional & dedicated staff who are welcoming, open-minded and supportive. It is a particularly exciting time to join the school as we are undertaking a whole school review of our curriculum to ensure our students will leave us and be able to ’stand shoulder to shoulder’ with any other young person, from any other background.
The successful candidate will be at the forefront of this transformational change and we are looking for someone who is creative, dynamic, and willing to embrace this challenge head on.
When joining Spen Valley you are entering a supportive environment where we pride ourselves in offering a wide range of CPD opportunities. Being a member of Red Kite Alliance, we receive support, advice and training from some of the most successful schools in Yorkshire. We encourage our staff not only in their involvement in various activities throughout the school but also to be proactive and come up with new and fresh ideas to engage and enthuse both our staff and students.
Staff Benefits include:
- Employee Healthcare
- Teachers Pension
- Staff supervision (counselling & support services)
- Varied Wellbeing Activities
