Teacher of Science

About the role:  Are you seeking a new opportunity for January 2019?  Are you a Science Teacher, able to deliver Chemistry to Key Stage 5?  Longfield Academy has a great opportunity to appoint a talented and inspiring teacher who will join us for the new year, strengthening our already successful department even further.  Our successful candidate will be passionate about their subject, committed to academic excellence and have the ability to motivate, support and enthuse students. You will join an established department with a friendly, dedicated team who achieve excellent results.  We are a 'Good' school with an 'Outstanding' Sixth Form provision; it is desirable that our successful candidate will be able to deliver the academic sciences at Post 16.

Working at Longfield Academy:  Longfield Academy is a friendly and supportive working environment with innovation and collaboration at the heart of everything we do. The academy opened in September 2008, replacing Axton Chase School. Since then student outcomes have rapidly improved. In May 2018, we were judged to be 'Good' with an 'Outstanding' Sixth Form provision -  a well-deserved accolade.   Our school is heavily oversubscribed in Year 7 and has a large and growing Sixth Form. In recent years, Longfield Academy moved into its brand new £25m building with state of the art facilities for learning across all subject areas.
