Teacher of Science - Maternity Leave Cover

Newhouse Academy is recruiting for a Teacher of Science from September 2021.  This is a fixed term contract for maternity leave cover for up to 12 months.  The role is suitable for experienced teachers and NQTs.

We are a comprehensive secondary school, situated just off the M60 in the town of Heywood.  We have a new Headteacher with a new vision of ‘high expectations in all that we do’; a modern building with excellent learning facilities and improving GCSE results across many subjects.

We are also delighted to be able to announce that Newhouse Academy is one of fifty schools selected to receive a £20m building programme from the Department for Education, so this is an exciting time to join our team.

As part of the Hollingworth Learning Trust, we work closely with our partner school, Hollingworth Academy, (an outstanding local secondary school); and are on a school improvement journey to deliver rising academic standards.

Hours: Full time equivalent.

Grade: Main/Upper pay range, £25,714.00 to £41,604.00.

Contract type: This is a fixed term contract to cover the maternity leave of a staff member.

Start date: 1st September 2021.

End date: Up to 12 months.
