What we are looking for

We look for talented individuals who want to be a part of transforming education in London, and helping create exceptional places of learning. The successful candidate will:

  • Be a high calibre, experienced practitioner who can teach all students across Key Stages 4 and 5. Newly qualified teachers will also be considered for the position.
  • Be able to show a strong record of raising student attainment through their teaching of examination groups
  • Be dynamic in their ability to teach both academic and vocational subjects
  • Have the ability to implement strategies that will inspire and further enhance our students’ love of Science
  • Be an individual who shares our common sense of purpose and high expectations of what students can achieve
  • Have the capacity and drive to develop their teaching and bring innovative ideas to the classroom and the department
  • Hold QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree.

About Harris Academy Merton

Harris Academy Merton has consistently been in the top 10% of performing schools in the country for Progress. Academy Description:

Harris Academy Merton is an 11-18 co-educational Academy for 1,500 students. The Academy opened in September 2006 on the site of the predecessor school. The Academy benefits from a brand new state-of-the-art Post 16 block and high quality buildings. Harris Merton is judged by Ofsted to be an Outstanding School. Harris Merton offers specialisms in Enterprise and Science. It is an oversubscribed school at the heart of its local community.
