We wish to appoint a highly motivated, ambitious and passionate individual as a teacher of science. 

This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic, forward thinking person to join our Science department. You will be a motivated, enthusiastic and a driven individual who has the skills and determination to make a significant difference to the lives of our boys.

We are looking to appoint an inspirational, dynamic and enthusiastic qualified Teacher of Science to join our academy of committed staff, who can capture and further develop our students love of science. We would also welcome applications from those seeking a part time position.

The post offers an unrivalled opportunity for the successful candidate to develop innovative practice in teaching and learning, further develop curricular and co-curricular experiences and meet the challenge of raising pupil performance.  

Science is very popular at the school, both within the curriculum and our extra-curricular provision. We have a well-resourced department and a purpose built Eco Centre.

Wellacre Academy is an 11-16 all boys’ school set in the heart of Trafford. We have high ambitions and expectations for all of our students. Alongside our lessons, we provide a rich and diverse co-curricular programme that grows character and inspires of students. Our pursuit of educational excellence is based upon our belief that every student has the capacity to become a successful, confident and respectful young adult.

We prioritise staff and student wellbeing and have realistic policies for feedback, data collection and homework. We celebrate staff and student achievement regularly and provide lots of opportunities to develop through our tailored CPD programmes.  We are a thriving and happy school.

Our ethos and values are reinforced through our House system with each student belonging to either Lowry, Pankhurst or Turing. The Houses reinforce our sense of belonging. Students are provided with opportunities to broaden their knowledge, interests and skills though our Co-Curricular provision which includes the Royal Navy Cadets, the Duke of Edinburgh Award, Ecology projects, Chess Club, Book Club & EDT Industrial Cadets.
