Job overview

The Kenton Schools Academy Trust, formed in 2014, is a growing, passionate Trust in the North East of England. Our eyes are firmly fixed on providing the best education possible for young people in our city, our region and nationally.  The Trust’s main objectives are encompassed in its vision statement, which is: 'Through the provision of high-quality inclusive education, the Trust will support and enable all our learners to believe in themselves, to succeed in life and aspire to be all that they can be.'

We know the key to our success is ensuring that we recruit the highest quality staff and we are delighted to be expanding our team for September 2022 and beyond.  Whether you are an early career teacher looking to start your career in a fast paced, yet supportive Trust, or an experienced teacher looking for a role in an environment that due to its size and facilities offer fantastic opportunities for development, we want to hear from you.

What we are looking for:

  • A strong subject specialist with a proven track record of effective training and/or teaching practice.
  • The ability to work effectively with all students delivering high quality, exciting, yet challenging lessons.
  • A commitment to embedding a culture of high expectations and positive behaviour for learning.

What we will offer:

  • The opportunity to work in one of our two schools; Studio West - one of the most successful studio schools in the country, or Kenton School – a vibrant and inclusive large secondary school, on the cusp of excellence.
  • Excellent development opportunities including a strong programme of support for both early career and experienced teachers.
  • The opportunity to work with forward thinking management and staff working together to offer the best available chances for our students.

Supporting information is available to download below. To apply, please click on Quick Apply where you will be taken to the application form.

Closing date: 12.00 Noon 11 February 2022

Kenton Schools Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people in all our schools and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  We are fully committed to ensuring that consistent effective safeguarding procedures are in place to support families, children and staff at school.

This post does involve engaging in regulated activity as defined in Keeping Children Safe in Education 2021 and is except from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (as amended 1975, 2013 and 2020).
