We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and inspiring newly qualified or experienced classroom teacher with a real passion for science. Experience of teaching A level sciences would be an advantage. The 2016 results were outstanding, 77% of students achieved 5 A*-C including English and Maths; the Maths department achieved 86% A*-C with 24% achieving A*-A grades; 90% of students achieved their level of progress and 56% achieved beyond their level of progress. In English 78% achieved A*-C grades with 89% of students achieving their expected level of progress and 56% achieved beyond their expected level of progress.

We aim to promote the highest standards of academic achievement through inspiring teaching and learning, with a curriculum designed to stretch and enrich our students’ experience. Our success speaks for itself as we are above the national average for the number of students achieving at a Grade 5 or above in English & maths GCSEs, and we have won numerous awards as a school including the Carnegie Mental Health Silver Award, Anti-Bullying Alliance Bronze Award and being accredited with the prestigious IQM Centre of Excellence status, which highlights that inclusion at all levels is of paramount importance to us
