 Northampton  Salary: £33,749 - £42,498 plus excellent benefits  

Hours:   Full time, 37.5 per week    

 An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified teacher to join St Andrew’s College for January 2019, which provides education to young people in our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service.    

 We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and creative teacher to help deliver assessment and teaching programmes in Science for young people at Key Stage 3 and 4 leading to GCSE and Entry Level Certificate.     

Applications are invited from qualified teachers in mainstream schools, special schools and secure adolescent settings. We are seeking someone with the motivation to develop skills in working with young people aged 13 years to 18 years old who have complex Mental Health and/or developmental disorders and who may present challenging behaviour. The ability to also offer Health and Social Care would be an advantage.    

 You will:   

 •Provide teaching in Science for young people.

 •Teach one to one and in small groups of 4 or less.     

The service has been designed to meet the complex needs of young people with psychiatric, social, psychological and emotional difficulties. There is a strong emphasis placed on inter-disciplinary working and providing an integrated educational and therapeutic programme.     This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a team of skilled and committed professionals and to become an integral member of a multidisciplinary team.
