Corby Business Academy is a popular and oversubscribed 11-18 Academy with a growing reputation both locally and nationally. Closely located to the Leicestershire / Northamptonshire border we provide staff and students with a modern learning environment, offering state of the art teaching and learning facilities equipped to meet the challenges of a varied and engaging curriculum.
In order to support the continuing professional development of all teaching staff, we operate additional PPA where staff teach at a maximum of 80%. In addition, as part of the Brooke Weston Trust we access a range of CPD opportunities from the Teaching school for staff at all levels.
We are delighted to offer the opportunity for a passionate Teacher of Science to join our dedicated team from April 2018. It is an exciting time to join the Science department at a time when the changes in the curriculum are reinvigorating the teaching and learning in the classrooms to build upon the success of previous years. We offer Separate Science and Combined Science GCSE as well as Biology, Chemistry and Physics A level.
• We are looking to recruit someone who is passionate about enabling all students to make dramatic progress in Science. The successful candidate will be ambitious, enthusiastic and creative and able to plan engaging lessons. You will have the support of a cohesive and committed team of teachers who work collaboratively to maintain high standards and expectations.
You will be expected to teach Science at Key Stages 3 and 4. There will also be opportunities available to teach A level science depending on experience and specialism.
