There may also be a possibility of relocation allowance to a suitable candidate, and a Recruitment and Retention allowance of £3,000 pro rata for external candidates.

Our School

Lodge Park Academy is a 11-19 Secondary school in Corby, Northamptonshire with approx. 1000 students on roll. Serving local families since 1963, Lodge Park Academy sits at the heart of our community. With a strong emphasis on sport, and the arts, we provide a broad, compelling, knowledge-rich curriculum alongside meticulous pastoral care to ensure all children are able to flourish and achieve. Lodge Park Academy is a unique school with a strong history. We serve a disadvantaged demographic, so our intake will always pose challenges. However, we firmly believe we have the greatest students on earth: they are funny, generous, and kind – we call it #LPAspirit.

The Role

The Teacher of Science role at Lodge Park Academy is an important one. We seek someone who believes in the power of knowledge to transform lives, and who is driven by evidence informed ‘best bets’ about curriculum and pedagogy. We benefit from a trust-wide history curriculum, strong collaboration between departments in 11 secondary schools and a strong subject community of like-minded curriculum enthusiasts.
