Aylward Academy is first and foremost an inclusive 11-19 community school and proud to serve the communities around Enfield. Over the last 3 years our school has been transformed and we start September 2017 looking to continued success.

Due to continued growth we are looking to appoint a permanent Teacher to our Science team.The ability to offer Physics as a specialism is a distinct advantage although we welcome applications from biologists and chemists.

The Science Faculty was created with the merger of the evolving Technology department with a well-established Science department. The Faculty has been making good progress in pupil attainment over a four year period since the school became an Academy.
You will be joining a dynamic team of committed teachers with 5 Technicians who are dedicated to providing the best possible opportunities to our students. We are a very successful Faculty because we put what is best for our students at the heart of our entire decision making which is why there has been steady progress in pupil attainment.
For example Physics has been a popular subject at Aylward with 15 students on the AS Physics course this year. There have been great opportunities afforded to our physicists such as the annual residential to CERN and countless STEM opportunities.
