Job overview

We are looking to recruit an outstanding and creative Science Teacher who is passionate about their subject to join our well resourced and supportive department.  The position will involve teaching at Key Stage 3 and 4 across the range of Science subjects with a specific focus on Chemistry and Physics.  

The Science Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering the highest quality lessons and achieving excellent results for their students, instilling in them a love for the subject and a desire to learn.  The role will provide the opportunity to help develop an engaging and challenging curriculum.  The applicant should have excellent subject knowledge and should be willing to be an integral part of the Science Department.  

Perryfields is a successful 11-19 school that was graded as ‘Good’ by Ofsted in January 2018.  The school is over-subscribed, with an excellent record for both academic excellence and strong pastoral care.  The successful candidate would benefit from a thorough professional development programme and strong support from the senior leadership team, with the potential and opportunity for career progression.  

This is an excellent opportunity for an NQT or teacher in the early stages of their career.  All NQTs are supported by an extensive induction programme.
