Cheney School is a popular, high performing school located in the heart of Oxford serving a diverse community of students who are eager to learn. We are a forward thinking Science department committed to engaging and enthusing students through an inquiry based approach to learning. We are motivated and ambitious to ensure our students fulfill their potential and achieve highly, and we are looking for a like-minded colleague to join our strong and successful department. Results show our students make excellent progress – GCSE results are better than national averages and over 70% of students go on to study at least one Science course at 6th form. You will be a key member of the department, creating a passion for Science and committed to quality learning for all pupils and students across all key stages.
You should be able to teach all three sciences up to KS4, one science to KS5 (A Level or BTEC) and have the desire and capacity to bring about outstanding learning in the classroom.
