Teacher of Science - Permanent - Full-Time

Salary: Teachers Scale

We require, from 1st September 2023, an outstanding and passionate Teacher of Science to join our highly motivated, academically successful and forward thinking Science Faculty. We seek someone who will inspire our pupils, nurturing and guiding them to excel in all sciences and grow as an individual.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, inspiring and able to teach all sciences across the school, from Years 7 to 11, and contribute to a highly inclusive and successful extra-curricular programme. A specialism in Physics is desirable but not essential. Additional subject specialist training can be provided to support the right candidate to enhance their subject knowledge and skills in each subject area, if needed.

As a highly popular and oversubscribed 11-16 girls’ Academy with just under 1000 pupils, we have a reputation for outstanding teaching and learning. This is achieved through a supportive programme of personal development, high expectations of pupil behaviour, academic rigour and a strongly inclusive ethos.

We are excited to be able to offer this position to join a welcoming and supportive team, in a positive work environment, where you can make a valued contribution to our continuous development. Working in the Science Faculty would offer you the opportunity to collaborate with practitioners who are committed to professional development and have the highest expectations of and aspirations for the pupils they serve. We have high expectations of ourselves and each other, but we are always ready to support one another, too.

Further information and an application form can be obtained from the TES or on our website at: www.fairfieldhighschool.co.uk
