Teacher of Science (Physics)

An opportunity has arisen within Wilmslow High School’s highly successful, well-organised and forward-thinking science team.  The post is to cover a maternity leave and will last until 31st August 2018.   The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic team member who has the knowledge and skills required to support and develop the team’s performance, teaching science at KS3, physics at KS4 and possibly KS5. In addition, they will actively involve themselves in the 'team' approach that is a feature of science education at Wilmslow High School. The post is full-time.

The successful candidate will:

· be a professional and enthusiastic teacher

· have the ability to teach physics at GCSE level, and desirably at A level  

· contribute to the sense of excitement about science that our community has

· have a knowledge of, and willingness to take responsibility for promoting, high standards of literacy, articulacy and the correct use of standard English, whatever the teacher's specialist subject
