JOB OVERVIEW
Due to unprecedented growth in our academic provision at USP College, we are looking for a passionate Teacher of Science with a specialism in Physics, to deliver to our students at the Seevic Campuse. We are looking forward to receiving applications from teachers that can deliver high quality, creative and engaging lessons while successfully supporting and inspiring our students. As part of our energetic, student focused and welcoming team, you will enthuse and motivate students to strive for success by challenging, supporting, inspiring and working closely with our excellent learners.
As a prospective member of the STEM team at USP College, alongside the wider Academic team, you should be a subject specialist who will inspire and motivate your students to exceed their aspirations.
You will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced teachers, to observe and share best practice on a regular basis, developing pedagogy through reflection. You will be able to build positive relationships with young people and support them to achieve their long term career goals. You will be able to use your expertise and emotional intelligence to unlock barriers to your students’ progress and provide the tools, support and challenge they need to go forwards. JOB REQUIREMENTS:
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or currently enrolled on a post-16 teaching qualification
Specialist Science subject knowledge in Physics
Experienced industry based individuals will be considered and given the opportunity to secure a role leading to the completion of a recognised post-16 teaching qualification.
A Good relevant Honours Degree or H.E qualification. (Ideally within the subject area you wish to teach)

The college was formed in 2017 as a result of a merger between Palmers College (Grays) and Seevic College (Benfleet) and the last 12 months has been a period of very positive change, growth and investment.
