The successful candidate will have a good understanding of what effective Teaching & Learning looks like for children of all abilities and be committed to enabling all students to access the curriculum in order to fulfil their academic potential.

It is an exciting time to be joining the Science team at Cleeve School. Over the last few years, we have raised the profile of the department, selling our vision to the students here at Cleeve and as such we have many students currently opting to study triple Science and A-Level Sciences.

The department has an extremely well-resourced laboratory, with attractive teaching rooms, an excellent range of teaching resources, a great network with local schools and businesses.

The school is an equal opportunities employer and committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and therefore expects all staff and volunteers, to share this same commitment. We particularly welcome applications from under represented groups including ethnicity, gender, transgender, age, disability, sexual orientation or religion. Ofsted

“The overall achievement of students is good, and outstanding for some. It is outstanding for those students who need extra help and in some subjects, including mathematics. Students’ achievement in English and in the sixth form is good and improving.”

“Much teaching in all subjects and in the sixth form is at least good, with a significant proportion that is outstanding.”
