Your new school
Kingsway Park High School opened in September 2010 in a purpose built, state of the art building with high quality facilities and resources. The school is a forward thinking and reflective learning community which ‘successfully brings together pupils from a wide range of backgrounds, races and cultures’ (Ofsted 2017).
Leadership is strong and effective within the school and there is an established ethos where ‘every pupil is valued’ (Ofsted 2017). The students’ behaviour is good and positive attitudes to learning are evident throughout the school ensuring that staff can focus on delivering excellent teaching and learning, and ensuring students continue to make good progress.
The staff members work collaboratively and strive to achieve outstanding, high quality teaching that provides a safe, supportive and encouraging environment for all students.
Your new role
As a new member of the team, you will be joining a large, supportive Science department that is well resourced with excellent facilities and supported by two experienced science technicians.
A new Head of Science took up post in September 2017 and is having an immediate impact at raising standards and improving progress. It is an exciting time to be joining a developing and forward thinking department.
What you’ll need to succeed
Applications are welcome from experienced Science teachers or newly qualified teachers who are wishing to have a new challenge. It is extremely important that all staff members have high expectations of themselves and the students they teach, and share our ethos that every student is valued.

Kingsway Park High School was established in 2010 and joined the Altus Education Partnership in February 2022. We are now a very popular oversubscribed school in central Rochdale with 1350 students in Years 7-11 and 190 staff.
